BOOKINGS, CONSULTATIONS, DESIGN PROCESS
How do I enquire about a tattoo or book a consultation?

Please fill in the enquiry form on our website and the artist will get back to you. Consultations are free and will be scheduled either in person, video or phone call.

I'm almost 18, can I get a tattoo?

It is illegal to get a tattoo under 18 in the UK.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Each artist sets their own price based on placement of the tattoo, size and amount of detail, if it’s a custom or flash piece - just a few examples.

Some artists charge hourly and some by piece. As guidance the current hourly rates in London are £100-£150, full day rates start from £600.

Can I see the tattoo design before my session?

Each artist requires a deposit to create a sketch.

Please ask your chosen artist directly as each artist has their own rules for this. Some artists only agree to show the design in person during a short consultation and some only show the tattoo design on the day leaving enough time to make adjustments if needed.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible, do you have a private room, can I bring a friend?

Please let us know about any requirements beforehand so we can accommodate you.The studio is wheelchair accessible and you’re welcome to come with a carer if you have one.

If you’re thinking of bringing a friend to keep you company, please ask first as it can get very busy and it may not be convenient or comfortable especially for other artists and clients.

If you’re getting a tattoo which requires you to be fully undressed, are neurodivergent, very shy/stressed and would like a quiet or more private session this can be organised with enough notice as we have a room which can be prepared for this.

I have a medical condition and I’m unsure if I can get tattooed?

Please let us know in the enquiry form if you have a medical condition we should be aware of to give you advice and additional info for aftercare instructions. Always consult getting a tattoo with your doctor first.

Do you do cover ups?

Yes we have artists who specialise in cover ups. It’s best to book a free consultation to discuss what you’d like to cover up and brainstorm.

Are your inks vegan?

Yes our inks are vegan.

PAYMENTS
How do deposits work?

Your deposit is an agreement between you and the artist for a specific tattoo idea. Each artist is self employed and requires a deposit to cover their admin and pre-tattoo prep. If their appointments are cancelled they are operating at a loss for that day. Deposits are non-refundable and are deducted from the final price of the tattoo.

If the artist is unable to attend the appointment, you will be offered an alternative date. A refund will only be offered if you’re unable to find a new date because either you or the artist are visiting from abroad. The studio does not take responsibility for any deposits paid directly to artists.

What payment methods are accepted on the day of the tattoo?

Please bring enough cash for your tattoo appointment.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Please give us at least 72h notice if you’d like to reschedule your tattoo appointment. This can be done only once without you losing your deposit.

If you give us less notice you will lose your deposit. You will have to make a new appointment with a new deposit. If you cancel your appointment you lose your deposit.

What happens if I change my mind about the idea?

We understand this can happen, but once you leave a deposit for a specific idea this is a form of contract/agreement between you and the artist.

If it’s a significant change - from a few hour tattoo to a small tattoo or a completely different idea - your deposit may not be deducted from the final price or you will be required to pay a new deposit to prepare a new design for you.

If it’s a last minute change - you inform the artist on the same day of your appointment or don’t give them enough notice - your appointment could be cancelled and deposit lost.

What if I’m running late?

Please let your artist know as soon as possible if you’re running late. If you’re more than 20min late and the artist has another appointment or important plans, they may have to cancel and you will lose your deposit.

If you do this very often or if there is a significant delay, the time may be added to the final price of your tattoo at your artists discretion.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TATTOO
How do I prepare for my tattoo session?

1-2 weeks before tattooing do not visit solarium or get sunburnt. You want your skin in good condition. You cannot tattoo over damaged skin.

A few days before start with drinking plenty of water so your skin is well hydrated.

2 days before tattooing do not use alcohol or drugs, otherwise it will cause excessive bleeding and interfere with the healing and outcome of your tattoo.

Night before tattooing get well rested.

On the day of your tattoo do not use painkillers or numbing creams without previously discussing this with your artist. They may refuse to tattoo you otherwise, cancel your session and you will lose your deposit.

Some medicines can thin your blood like alcohol and drugs which will cause your tattoo to come out on the fuzzy-looking side. Some creams don’t allow ink to be taken in the skin properly and it can result in more pain that it actually should!

3 hours before tattooing eat a plentiful meal. Do not come to your appointment on an empty stomach. Doing so can lead to cardiac and circulatory complications. It is important to keep your blood sugar levels up.

Within 3-4 hours of the procedure, you should eat something again to strengthen your blood sugar levels. Bring a bag with your favourite snack and sweet soft drink, you can also order food to the studio for your break.

Consider where you’re getting your tattoo done and wear appropriate clothes. Do not come in your best suit or dress. Make sure the clothes are light enough to not rub or chafe your new tattoo. Make sure the clothes are not too tight as you will swell in that area. If you’re unsure of what to wear please ask your artist.

On the day of your tattoo make sure to shower/wash and do not apply anything to the skin. You may shave or wait and have the tattooist shave the area.

If your artist has agreed and discussed applying numbing cream, please make sure you follow the instructions prior to your appointment.

If you arrive ill or under the influence of alcohol or drugs your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit lost.

AFTERCARE AND HEALING
What does the healing process look like?

It usually takes at least 4 weeks for a tattoo to fully heal. It is normal for it to bleed and push out ink the first 2-3 days, this usually does not affect the tattoo. The skin will start to become itchy and peel within a 1-1.5 week.

When the skin peels off the tattoo will look much lighter, this is due to the new layer of skin. Please allow at least and additional 2 weeks for it to start to settle.

Any cream which is specifically made for tattoos can be used. Please remember that everyone has different skin and what works for one person may not work for another.Discuss with your artist what they recommend.

If you experience any discomfort whilst using any type of cream, please stop using it immediately.

Some people prefer to not use cream at all which is also fine, but you need to be cautious with not letting dried skin get caught/snagged on clothing.

Please remember to treat the tattoo just like you would treat an open wound - keep it clean, wear loose, natural and breathable clothing.

Cling film method

If your tattoo is wrapped in cling film please keep it covered for at least 1-2h before refreshing it/airing it out and a maximum of 4 hours between each wash and change of cling film - you should ideally change it at least 3x in a 12h period.

The only exception is that you can keep it wrapped for the whole night. Depending on how much you bleed and the size of your tattoo this could be 1 or 2 nights.

If you need to keep your tattoo covered for example because of work, you can do so for 2 days. Change the cling film 3x (roughly every 4 hours). Clean the tattoo with a clean paper kitchen towel - you can use lukewarm water and a fragrance free soap or no soap at all.

If you can, try to keep the tattoo uncovered from the 2nd day onwards, but make sure to check on it every few hours. Always give it a clean and allow it to dry for a few minutes before applying a fresh layer of cream. Apply just as much as you would on your hands. Applying too much cream will not allow your tattoo to breathe and can lead to an infection.

Second skin method

Your artist will tell you how long to keep it on, but generally it’s 24-72h. For an easy removal do it under running warm water.

Wash your tattoo making sure to remove all the plasma, allow it to dry and apply a thin layer of cream.

You can reapply a new sticker after the first 24-72h and keep on for up to an additional 3-5 days.

If you decide to reapply the fresh sticker, do not apply any cream to your washed and dried tattoo.

Remember, how you take care of your tattoo especially the first 3 days will have a great impact on further healing. Further care is also important.NO scrubbing, picking or scratching your tattoo. If it’s unbearable massage cream into your skin or gently pat the area.

NO heavy drinking 48h before and 48h after.
NO swimming for at least 2 weeks especially in swimming pools.
NO saunas.
NO direct sunlight, you can apply sunscreen once the skin peels off. If you cannot apply sunscreen please keep it covered with a bandana for example.
NO harsh cosmetics - do not use any peelings, cologne, scrubs etc. especially for the first few days.

Light soreness and swelling is normal for 3 days. In some cases with very big tattoos even a light increase of temperature can appear. If you experience a lot of pain, weird itchy bumps, inflammation, pus or anything extreme please contact the artist or studio immediately.
